The Best of KROQ - 1989
In keeping with this month's "Nostalgia" theme, here are ten of my favorite songs from my adolescent days spent living in Los Angeles and listening to the pioneer of "alternative" radio stations: KROQ (pronounced "K-Rock"). I have far more favorites than will fit on a Top 10 List, so in order to narrow the list I've limited it to songs that appeared on KROQ's year-end countdown in 1989, the year I discovered KROQ. The numbers next to the songs correspond to their ranking on the KROQ countdown (where embedding has been disabled by YouTube, click on the picture to watch the video).
1. "Lovesong" - The Cure
3. "Everlasting Love" - U2
4. "Personal Jesus" - Depeche Mode
